Did you know that there is currently no field of medicine to study autoimmunity in general? There is no such thing as an autoimmunologist. For this reason, it is extremely important for people representing all of the autoimmnune conditions to come together and share information.

I have a personal belief that all autoimmune diseases are somehow related, and if doctors and scientists can just put 2 and 2 together they will find the cure for all the autoimmune diseases. Until then we can relay information to one another by posting questions and information to the site. We may not be able to find a cure by ourselves, but we can share our experiences and information with one another. Who knows, maybe the information from the forums here will trigger the light bulb in some eager young scientist's head. We need lots of people posting and communicating everyday; and yet we cannot attract such traffic to the site without advertising. Unfortunately advertising takes money.

Currently this site is funded soley by myself and by the very minimal ads you see at the bottom of the page. That means that all advertising costs are also paid by myself. You probably found this web site through one of those paid advertisements on Google. Paid advertising via Google and other sites is the only way to increase traffic to the web site. The more folks we have like you and me that frequent the site, the more we can learn from each other. All proceeds go directly to advertisement and yearly maintenance fees for the web site. It is my long term goal to have $100.00 per month from contributions to pay for advertising. Currently, we are a long way from that goal. Anyone that contributes will get there name posted here in order of the contribution amount, unless you wish to remain anonymous. The amount will not be listed. But the total amount of all contributions will be. Also, all contributors can change their "rank" to almost anything you want just for fun.
