AutoImmunity Community greatly respects your privacy. Any information that you provide is kept in the strictest confidence and at no time is sold to a third party or advertiser. AutoImmunity Community undertakes to honor or exceed the legal requirements of the United States regarding the privacy of medical/health information. We do not attempt to comply with the legal requirements for privacy of any other country. All information provided to AutoImmunity Community at the time of registration is kept on a secure database that is only accessible by AutoImmunity Community's webmaster. The only information that is required at the time of registration is the user's email address. Data provided in the "Profile Information" section of registration (location, occupation, etc.) is viewable by everyone, and is therefore completely optional. Also, please note that any information that you include in your posts, including personal medical information, is not secure and can be viewed by anyone visiting the site. Information is kept on our database for two reasons: 1) AutoImmunity Community's own statistics, and 2) so that we can keep in touch with our members. For example, bi-monthly, AutoImmunity Community may send out emails to its members to inform them of updates to the site, upcomming events, etc. If you would like to be removed from our mailing list, please email us at: If you link to another website via AutoImmunity Community's site, your private information is then subject to the new site's rules and privacy policy. AutoImmunity Community has no control of other websites. Please keep your personal information up-to-date at all times so that you can receive the greatest benefit from AutoImmunity Community. Authority All forums and blogs are moderated on a daily basis. The moderators and administrators are volunteers. They use the following aliases: bandrews, AmandaA. The moderators and forum/blog members are not regarded as health professionals unless their alias is marked with the category of "Medical Advisor." Complementarity The information provided in all forums and blogs, ( including blog comments ) is designed to support, not replace, the direct relationship between patients and health professionals. Privacy We remind you that any message can be read, used, reproduced and cited by everyone. You do have the option to delete and edit your posts in the forums. Special note about comments in blogs: Comments cannot be deleted by the blog user. If a comment needs to be deleted, please contact one of the moderators.
