We try to provide the highest quality Community experience for all of our members; therefore, it is important to read all of these rules before posting to any forum.

General posting rules

All forums are monitored. The following rules must be strictly followed. Any post that does not meet these criteria will be deleted and the poster's user id will be revoked permanently. There will be no warnings.

• No Pornographic Material. Any sexually oriented imagery or links to such content will not be tolerated.
• No Cursing or Swear words. We encourage you to use our message boards as a forum for debate, but please refrain from all profanity, whether overt or disguised. This is a child-friendly site and will remain so.
• No Personal Attacks / Harassment / Retaliation of any kind against a Forum Moderator, member, or group of members. The intention of AutoImmunity Community is for everyone to feel safe expressing his/her own opinion. Please respect that.
• Prejudicial Statements made to malign the gender, race, religion or sexual orientation of any member will not be tolerated.
• Advertising of any product or service that is for profit is prohibited, which includes posting URL's.
• Stay on topic. These forums can be used to post anything related to autoimmune diseases, but nothing else.
• Moderators reserves the right to change or alter these rules at any time without any notification. Please note that the Moderator's word is final.

Rules that warrant warnings.

The following rules are not as strictly enforced, but warnings will be given to the offending member. If enough warnings have been issued, the member's id will be revoked. Moderators reserve the right to determine what is considered enough.

• Double Posting. This is known as sequential replies, or posting two replies in a row. Please allow other users to reply before posting again. If you forgot something in your original post, please use the edit function.
• Cross Posting. This is when you post the same topic in multiple forums.
• Flaming. Excessive aggression to other forum users.
• Insubordination. Please note that the above rules cannot cover every topic that might present itself. If a forum official informs you to stop doing something we ask that you comply.
• Cutting And Pasting Information from another website is not allowed. However, posting website addresses (URLs) of reputable medical, professional, news, and government sources is allowed. If you want to discuss information from another website in your post, simply include a URL that directs users to this information. You can also email or Private Message the link.
• Misleading or Incorrect Information: Discussion of treatment options is allowed and encouraged as long as the information is not incorrect, misleading, solicitous, or hurtful.
