our family is learning about the condition that took the life of our 50 year old father, husband, and brother.
we'll post more info as we get it from the Doctors. The disease took his life in one week.
since the onset we've been researching online and have read of the treatments. None presented it's possibly fatal.
The present diagnosis is autoimmune hemolytic anemia cold antibody. |

My husband had PCH in 2004 and is currently battling it. We have been told there is no treatment for it and that it is not fatal. Although, in day 4 of this aweful disease, I wonder if he will make it to day 5.
Does anyone know of a doctor in the states with experience in this area. Also, I would be curious of any treatment for this. Both episodes happened in the dead of summer, so I'm not sure about the COLD part of the diagnosis.
Any information would be greatly appreciated. My husband is 39 and this may not be the last time we have to deal with this.
Thanks, _________________ JLT |
